SMART Thinking is an independent research Company that is allied to the Robert Gordon University. Its principle specialism is concerned with assistive technology and the use of smart home technology to enrich the quality of life of people. SMART Thinking's main purpose is the introduction of relevant and appropriate technology to assist and empower people with disabilities and older people within and outwith their home environment.
A major strength with SMART Thinking is that the company is independent yet linked to the well renowned university whose resources are at its disposal. Smart thinking specialises in independent consultation around issues of care and technology and undertakes workshops and demonstrations of the technology and software through out Europe. SMART Thinking also attempt to be proactive by using modern technology to disseminate knowledge about this form of technology and its appropriate usage within the care sectors.
