Important Note for the Installation of the CUSTODIAN software It has been reported that some people have been experiencing difficulties in installing the software. If the following are followed the installation should be sucessful. 1) after downloading the zipped files, unzip them to a chosen directory. 2) ensure that all files are not read only, (control a, right click, properties, untick read-only, okay). 3) go to your Visio program and create a folder in the solutions entitled CUSTODIAN (c:\program files\visio\solutions\CUSTODIAN) 4) start the installer (setup.exe) and when the screen for the place you wish to install the software appears, ensure it is changed from C:\programe files to c:\program files\visio\solutions\CUSTODIAN where the folder you have created appears. 5) the setup program will tell you that some files are too old and ask you to reboot your computer. Do so but ensure you rerun the setup.exe file once rebooted. Again ensure that the files are placed in c:\program files\visio\solutions\CUSTODIAN as before. 6) when you run the program the first time, you might experience Visio stating that the program contains Macros, Do not be alarmed!! The software has been completely Virus checked and requires Macros for it to be able to run properly, so ENABLE Macros (and possibly disable the warning). 7) Place a shortcut for the c:\program files\visio\solutions\CUSTODIAN on your desktop, this enables you to choose which file you wish to access easily, DO not run the CUSTODIAN program from the start button, as this just enables the macros, which are enabled automatically when a new file is created. 8) It is suggested that you always save your new file as a different name from the original as soon as it is opened.
