For those students who do not exactly match or narrowly fail to meet the entry requirements for any of the School's courses, a four week intensive Access Programme is offered in August. Units available include Mathematics and Engineering Science.
Applicants who enter the BSc or HND without maths or physics at Higher (or equivalent) will be asked to attend the access programme.
Alternatively, applicants may study the access units by distance learning using study packs and the support of a tutor. This form of study is available all year round and is normally recommended for applicants with non-standard qualifications eg: mature applicants, applicants with disadvantaged backgrounds, applicants who wish to extend their qualifications or who are not in employment.
