IAIN MORRISON

Biographical Statement

As the Application Supervisor for IT at Gray’s School of Art I have contributed to all programmes across the school relating to digital information, assisting students and staff, where appropriate to achieve their potential through the use of digital equipment be it computers, digital video or internet.

My role has also allowed me to expand my graphic design skills into Web Design and Landscape Photography.

This combination of roles gives me the opportunity to work with artists on web design projects and to experiment with traditional concepts of landscape photography using digital formats.

Professional practise has lead to working with Historic Scotland on a project called Stronghold. I produced 12 interactive landscapes, featuring four Scottish Castles selected by Historic Scotland. These were then presented online on a web site designed by myself.

The Stronghold web site was funded by Alt-w, an initiative set up to support and promote Scottish-based creative entrepreneurial talent and innovative online digital productions.

Personal Statement

My landscape photography is now mainly digital and can be seen on my web site www.mozweb.co.uk. My work explores the opportunities of working on the web and using digital landscape photography to present more than just a single still image.
