Personal Statement
My research investigates visualising a period time in a single multi layered frame, producing digital prints, mainly on fabric, but also on paper, film and Perspex.  Work has recorded the breaking down process of nature, in particular trees, becoming earth again, representing a timeline, or chronicle, of the landscape. Photographic images are captured along the length of fallen trees, through forest avenues or on distant horizons, digitally stitched and layered, creating a visual synthesis of time, place and seasonal changes.Currently, I am researching Scotland’s ancient Heritage Trees, whilst continuing to explore the potential of digital image manipulation and processing. Work has been shown nationally and internationally. Currently as an Invited Artist in the 6th British International Print Exhibition, touring throughout the UK and in  BIMPE IV in Vancouver, Canada.
