Cultures of Representation

investigates the artist as maker and creator of representations to a public. The group of artist/researchers emerged out of the 'Challenging Making' cluster (2001-8) when the focus of inquiry was on innovative technologies, including digital applications. This focus has now shifted to the relationship between making and exhibiting practices in paint, print and drawing and how new forms of experimentation can inform curriculum innovation.
