Statement
My work as a printmaker is primarily about mark making and drawing. I work freely and spontaneously and always react to the last mark I made. My sketchbooks reveal an obsession with colour and layering and are a very important part of my practice. My finished outputs, mostly in the form of screen prints, are honest and unapologetic. I favour simple images and directly drawn marks that communicate the immediacy of the trace of my hand and deal with the abstraction of the world around me. My work has evolved a language of marks, colour and form, which is unmistakably mine.
