Statement: My work combines both my interest in ink sketching and my fondness for works of fantasy; in particular those that depict a post - apocalyptic future. I am intrigued by the notion of the urban environment being destroyed by a future cataclysmic event, or simply being left to decay in the centuries to come. I have also explored the possibilities of using ink on wet oil paint. Later works have focused more on the use of perspective, removing the landscape element and concentrating instead on a feeling of being overwhelmed by the city itself.
