Title
Carabou 3

Statement:
As a painter and a jazz musician I have always been focussed on the art of improvisation, it is the most natural way for me to express myself through my paintings. Both art forms feed off each other, my work this year focuses on the aesthetic of improvisation. I have always improvised not just through art and music but through life and society itself. The paintings I have created this year are representational of the denseness of the structures of society. I have tried to create the density of these structures visually in an altogether improvised fashion.
