Statement In my work I look at how we perceive nature and the environment around us. For my degree show I have produced a body of work based on the trees that make up the landscape around Grays school of Art, as well as drawing inspiration from the architecture of the building itself.
By Using a variety of materials, both man-made and natural, including leaves, wax and Perspex, I hope to and draw attention to the familiar by presenting it in an unfamiliar context, challenging the perception of how nature is viewed and represented through the western ‘Landscape Art’ tradition.
