Statement: With more than 60% of all work related illnesses due to Repetitive Strain Injuries it is very important that we begin to take more notice of the way we work. We do not realise how much time we spend on computers or the damage that we are doing to ourselves. Break Mate allows the user to be in control of the amount of time they spend working before taking a break. It monitors the number of keystrokes hit and the amount of work done on the mouse in a given time and displays a gauge of the work done in that time. After the gauge is full lights will flash to distract the user and make them take a break.
