It is an independent body composed of Representative Members from Scottish national organisations, plus a Chairperson, and up to three co-opted Individual Members. The NCCSS aims to raise awareness of the threats to Scottish carved stones of all periods, to promote their understanding and appreciation, and to encourage a common approach to their recording, publication and preservation."

Vlaamse Vereniging voor Industriële Archeologie vzw
Flemish Association for Industrial Archaeology

Marine Archaeological Conservation
Evtek Institute of Art and Design, Vantaa, Finland. From the site: "The diploma course in Marine Archaeological Conservation began in September 2000 at the Department of Conservation Studies, Evtek Institute of Art and Design, Vantaa, Finland. The course has been designed to offer a multidisciplinary approach to the study and preservation of underwater shipwrecks with both theoretical and practical training in the area of marine archaeology, the underwater environment, materials analysis, treatment of underwater finds and the in-situ conservation of shipwrecks. During the course the students will undertake, as preliminary projects, the treatment of many different types of waterlogged finds from the Baltic Sea, such as a grey cast iron cannon from the Kronprinz Gustav Adolf and artefacts lifted from the S/S Sundsborg shipwreck. The students will also participate in scuba diving expeditions to help set up sacrificial anodes to protect iron cannons in the sea and, as a part of the documentation course, in an underwater archaeological excavation at lake Valgjärvi in Estonia. The program will end with students completing internship placements related to marine archaeological conservation."
