Fiona Roberts
Qualifications:

BSc Physiotherapy, MSc Respiratory Physiotherapy, PGCert LTHE, MCSP.

Background:

Fiona specialised for 7 years in cardio respiratory physiotherapy –as a specialist in critical care, particularly paediatric and neonatal. She has also worked with children who have juvenile idiopathic arthritis.

University background:

Fiona was a lecturer in physiotherapy at Sheffield Hallam University before a brief return to team leader post. She joined RGU as a lecturer in 2005 and became Course Leader for the MSc Physiotherapy (pre-registration) in 2007. Fiona is involved in the development of interprofessional learning across health professions in Aberdeen and in enhancing the student experience through use of clinical simulation.

Research Interests:

Aspects of care in the critically ill and surgical patients and simulation in health care training. Fiona is also interested in the management of respiratory problems encountered by people with parkinsons disease.

Role in the MSc team:

Personal Tutor/ Clinical Tutor. Course Leader and module leader for HSM002 – cardiovascular respiratory therapy.
