From the site: "The course is being funded by the Finnish government to promote the conservation of the many well-preserved shipwrecks found in the Baltic Sea, such as the recent discovery of the 1771 Vrouw Maria wreck off the Finnish coast. The training program will prepare conservators for the challenge of preserving these shipwrecks and artefacts either in-situ or after excavation.
